The solo “SHHHHH” was created site specifically for an evening of dance “Zeithüllen” in the Bernese castle Schloss Holligen. The evening addressed how history, myths and stories, stored in the walls of the castle influence the narrative, atmosphere and dance – a guided tour through the castle with a difference.

For this project I was interested in inner and outer voices and the consequential turmoil it can cause. I allowed a dialogue between the perceived voices of the space, furniture and statues of the castle and my inner voice.

It was the first time I challenged myself with choreographing and dancing a solo, deeply submerging myself in the process.

The piece will be performed in different locations and sites in the near future, as I am interested how a site specific dance piece and dancer is influenced by such a change, maintaining the topic.
