“WegRücken” premiered in Münsingen, Switzerland on 19. September 2020 in a glass house of a nursery that supports bio-diversity.

March till July 2020 offered a tremendous opportunity to develop my skills in site specific performance, BMC and creating my own work. Susanna and I found ourselves in a similar position and decided to develop “WegRücken” together.

For this project we were researching our spine; our backs and how we relate to other people and the world by using our spine. It was also interesting to research how our spine is shaped and its movements influenced by how we live in this world. We realised that our spine tells and manifests the story of our life.

The performance was designed for a small audience, firstly because of the current social distancing situation and also to create an intimate atmosphere, to invite listening and to witness the details of tenderness, unfolding, growing, silence, humanness, impermanence, and encounters, supported by the living plants in the space.
